Kindergarten Term 1 Learning
Children in the Kindergarten have had great fun with their learning themes of 'Space' and 'Room on a Broom'
Year R Term 1 Learning
Year R pupils have been learning about what makes us the same and what makes us different. This week they used our natural resources to make some amazing pictures of their faces!

In English, the children have learnt their class model text and started to write their own innovated stories. In science, the children have been learning about Habitats and created a wormery. In PSHE, the children are discussing who is special to them and why.

Year 4 Term 1 Learning
Take a look at some of the learning Year 4 pupils has been doing. In French they have been using conversational language about different ways to travel to School. In Art they have been exploring space within art. In RE they have been learning Puja in Hinduism. In Music they have been learning about the pop group ABBA and in Science they have been dissecting a plant and looking at Life Cycles.
Also this term children created some autumn pictures linked to our Art learning about creating space and depth in a picture. They also wrote non chronological reports about an animals found on the Isles of Scilly linked to our class text The Wreck of Zanzibar by Michael Morpurgo.
Year 5 Term 1 Learning
In Year 5 this term they have been learning all about the Tropics in Geography, analysing and appreciating the painting 'The Scream' by Edvard Munch.
In Science they have been learning about the Earth's layers and tectonic plates and in History they have been learning the story of Richard the Lionheart. What a busy term!!
Year 6 Term 1 Learning
This term Year 6 pupils have produced comic strips to revise and make links between topics covered so far in history curriculum.
As well as this they created extracts from history writing: a speech to persuade King John to agree to the barons’ demands.
